Changes coming...
About a month ago we turned off our shopping cart for a few weeks. We stopped our 'parts'
business altogether and it gave us a chance to catch up on some things and really think about how
we want to handle our next 10 years on the web.
We re-opened the shopping cart a few weeks ago and hired summer help to fill orders.
Here's what we've decided to do when our summer help leaves:
- We're going to keep running OldRoads.com and make improvements including:
- Improved picture inclusion in the Discussion Areas
- Better searching of our on-line archives
- Organization of the data and photos from the Bicycle Identification Project
- We're going to continue reconditioning and selling complete bicycles
- We're going to keep the Cleaning Kit and Price Guide products
- We are going to sell the rest of the parts business.
Sale of the parts business will include:
- Retail value of $7,500+ in new and NOS parts
- Used parts and miscellaneous NOS parts that we have not posted on our site
- Information on parts wholesalers from whom we order new and aftermarket parts
- Information on how we get our NOS parts
- A link to the new owner's web site for one year. Any link on our site today that says
'parts for sale' will go to the new owner's web site.
We plan on selling the parts business as soon as possible.
If you are interested, make an offer.
If we have no reasonable offers we'll place the parts business up for sale on eBay in
September.
Cheers!
Vin - Menotomy Vintage Bicycles, Inc. at OldRoads.com
