Sounds like you have one of the earlier JMC's that are well sought after { want to trade one???} I got out my July , 1979 Bicycle Motocross action magazine with Harry Leary doing a "Leary" on the cover and it does indeed look like a block behind the bottom bracket. Checking the ad inside for JMC it does show that they required a seat post clamp. They have a loop - tail design with a single hole drilled in the dropout. They came in red, white, and blue only and Harry Leary ruled then, D.Y. was probably a little kid! I don't have one of those frames but Harry Leary donated that same frame as the one pictured on the cover of July '79 BMXA to the ABA museum and when I saw it at the grands a few years ago, it definately gave me chills!

Vince, did you see the pro-neck f/f on eBay? { well, you can't really see it, no picture!" Also, did everyone see that red Oakley now go for $46.50 on there? Sounds steep to me!

Prolly a religious arguement, but
what do you consider to be the first
(or one of the first) production BMX bikes?

Just discovered some old school Bicyce Motocross Action bumper stickers!!!!! red or blue, only have a few to sell. Very cool late 70's/early 80's item. has the rider tabletopping in the corner. Also some "Team Schwinn" lightning bolt stickers and some visor stickers that are pretty cool. and some mid 80's Predator frame stickers too. Am looking for Sting Comp. frame/fork stickers, green/black digital looking Predator stickers, ODI sig. grips, jerseys from DB, Auburn, Hutch, GHP.

I was reading a July '74 Hot Rod magazine and in there is a two page article called "The silent runner".
They have many old pics of kids racing on sting rays. They bring up Mathews as having two different kits-one is low bars and rear wheel with knobies, the other adds an actual suspension "triple tree" fork. They also show a pic of a "B&G" brand suspension frame.
In the context, the Yamaha Moto bike is refered to as the only actual race ready production bike that they know of. No mention of Kawasaki. I know it isn't a BMX magazine but it was a cool article to come across.
Has anyone else here heard of "B&G"? It has square tubes with a hinged rear triangle.

I have a "rare" NOS (never used) JAG chromoly pro size frame and fork. These are real hard to find..In one year I couldn't even find a used one and this baby is brand new! $180 takes it.I think it dates from 1980-81? I'll pay the shipping anywhere within the US.
PH# 607-754-7311 One sticker on it says JAG World Champions and other stickers have the famous Jag Paw print. Its mint with NO Rust and not even a scratch. I got it off an old bike dealer who had it in storage.
Message:
Please allow me to correct myself on my last post.
The frame was "K&G" and no B&G, sorry!
So how about it, anyone ever heard of one?

Who was that out there looking for a looptail PK ripper??? I found one and it is polished { silver color} and says "xl" on it by the seat post on the top tube. It is a loop tail which makes it older. It has bullseye hubs, black araya 7x rims { brake marks on sides front and back} and a red plastic uni-seat. I did not buy it yet but if you want it I can buy it and sell it to you. It is used but in fairly good shape. They want a lot for it though so I would have to sell it for $165 + $ 20 to ship so it would be $185 total.
Message:
the pk for sale has one piece cranks and the newer looking graphics for decals. { grey and white }and no landing gear fork but it does have a redline fork

whoa ! i thought i was on the wrong site at first! menotomy really changed the site up. Todd, i havent run accross any nos hutch jerseys so far, but i did find some cool hutch t shirts. one style is the mid-cut shirt that leaves your lower abs open. its too cool, although it may be a little cheesy to walk around in it. they are gray with red letters/stars. i found them in all sizes. Also have some regular hutch t-shirts , white shirt with black and red logo in front and back. they are great, only have them in medium and small though. let me know if interested. the bike shop guy wants between eight and ten bucks for one. i found them in his store in a box up under one of the counters. he didnt even know they were there. i think he should have just given me the entire box, but he didnt see it that way. i'll be happy to pick some up for anyone though. Kathy
Message:
Kathy, I'd like one of those shirts (white, w/logo) in med. Tried to e-mail you and it got returned. Is the Hutch logo w/stars (early 80's)? Write me.
Would like to publicly thanks Paul S. for hooking me up with a nos Skyway Recreation jersey!!!!! Anyone have an old ELF, DB, Schwinn or Auburn jersey and/or frame pads to sell?
Message:
Looking for Cook Bros. Frame and fork stickers to go with my newly aquired early eighties bike. I am also looking for NOS gold tires, pedals and grips of the same era (Comp II, III, Grab on, Oakley, etc). Does anyone know the name of the early thruster frame other than the Timmy Judge model? If I recall correctly it was named after another one of their factory riders. Appreciate any feedback.

Hey: I am looking for a pair of reasonably true cruiser wheelset(or single front) for ca$h and trade.
My did a 360 and bent the front badly. I cant ride without a new wheel so I am ready to do business right away!
Message:
There were actually 3 frames available from Thruster when they first started out. The Tim Judge (std length w/ large bb), the Ferdie Garcia (std length, small bb) and the jamie Burroughs (long frame w/ large bb). I've seen Tim Judge frames, but would love to find a Jamie Burroughs.
Message:
I believe the Jamie Burroughs, was re-named "Vanishing Point" when Jamie left the team. Later Thrusters were "Tri Power" (same as Vanishing Point but no gusset but a 3 tube front tri angle), "Thruster 2" (considered an expert sized frame), and a Tri Power 24". Speed Unlimited is a Speed Shop located in N.J., they used to build Rocket Cars and Dragsters, as well as BMX.

I'm sure you guys noticed that Ralph's is cleaning out the warehouse and selling a bunch of stuff on eBay. I think it is cool all this stuff comes out of the woodwork, but eBay gets kind of pricey. You ever notice that if you want to buy something, it's too high but if you want to sell something, nobody bids?? Did Ralph sell the shop? I heard he was sick a few years ago.

Anyone have any info on the DeCoster BMX bikes? I know nothing about them, except that I found an unopened "Roger DeCoster World's Champion" BMX frame sticker kit the other day! So now I'm wondering about the bikes! Thanks!
Message:
A Roger DeCoster was a Mongoose--mid to late 70's, I think. They were identical except the DeCoster had an oval-shaped hole in the front-triangle gusset. Roger DeCoster was the motorcycle MX champ back then.

Hey everyone---
Some time ago I posted that I was going to acquire a lot of older freestyle stuff. I had some trouble dealing with the folks and was not able to do what I had thought I could do.
I intend to pick up the parts eventually---but anyone who emailed me about specific stuff, I apologize for not responding in a timely fashion. Thanks!
